how to write rap metaphors

How is it that people who use their lyrics to YA for only metaphors and rhymes when writing a rap?
it seems that is all that to use them. As if she did not know any other techniques of writing. It is simply stupid. Its just a bunch of metaphors and similes with rhyming. That does not make it a rap / poem the first 3 people who answered are fucking retarded.
