Taflinger Richard, Professor, Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University, said that a trick often used in advertising, the use of sophistry. These illusions are not recommended, because your audience can alienate. Taflinger suggest avoiding the following logical errors:

- Black / White: The black / white, or reversible, the trick is to make a statement that the lack of opportunities for your speech. One common way it is used in advertising by presenting two cases with one product and one without. - Buzz Words: These are words that seem to say something, but donÂ't. They are very popular in advertising.

- Guilt by association: This is where you assign labeling someone or something fair, based on the company they hold.

- Self-Definition: It is using a word that you want from your audience so to define, but you hear it in a different way when you use it.

The use of magic words and Ogilvy avoiding the use of sophistry, youÂ'll on your way to advertising that sells - without alienating your audience.
